We only use quality branded horse rug detergents in all of our washes, but we realise that not everybody wants to go to the expense of Nikwax^® wash and reproof on all of their rugs, which is why at Captain Rugwash™ we offer an alternative. Having tested various cleaning agents we have chosen to use both NikWax^® and Gold Label^® horse rug products. Both do the job just fine, but by giving you the choice of which brand we use, there is always an alternative for the more budget conscious amongst us.

 We also know from our own experience that not everybody wants to reproof all of their rugs, particularly if it is an indoor rug, a show rug, or stable rug. That is why we don’t insist that you have your rugs reproofed. You simply tick the boxes for which treatments you want, with which products, for each of your rugs, and leave the rest to us.
